Smokey Robinson by Thomas CopiSmokey Robinson appeared as a solo act at this 1975 R&B Revue, held in the Oakland Coliseum, home of the Oakland A's baseball team. It was only about a year or so after he had left the Miracles. The stage was set up out on second base, and Smokey had everybody in the palm of his hand. He's from Detroit, not Oakland, but there was definitely a connection. Soul is soul.
