Original German Folding Earmuffs Gray and BlackThese are original German earmuffs, the same style that were worn by the army. This pair is made with gray and black wool. Very cool piece of German equipment. They fold almost completely flat to fit in a pocket or wherever. Decent used condition. These earmuffs are pictured in several 1930s 1940s catalogs. The earlier catalog from 1931 has the price is Pfennigs (Pf) while the other from the late 1930s has the price is Reichsmarks (RM).

For some reason my son started doing the duck walk at school and while performing this little trick for his classmates he ripped the rubber that wraps over top the toe. Now, instead of being glued up and into place, its basically sagging down. Thankfully that's the only thing that's gone wrong with these and honestly this sort of wear and tear is not typical. What I would say is that if your child is rough on shoes, I would pass on these. They are very nice, very light weight and are great for school. However, due to the design, they might not best good for some kids. In terms of sizing and comfort, my son wears a 5 and these fit him very well. He has wide feet like his dad, and these don't bother him at all. He's says they're very comfortable and does enjoy wearing them.
