The 1L marking is on the front which is typical of older krugs, by the 1930's most were being marked back by the handle. It is in good condition with nice graphics. This is a krug, not a stein. 2 things sold me on this nice tank. First, it's bamboo. I like the feel of bamboo - I think its a cooler material and it's easier on the environment. Second, I love the lace!! It really dresses up a simple tank! I did order up 2 sizes. I wear a L normally, but I didn't want this to accentuate my love handles. The XXL fits looser and stays flat and doesn't cling. I've worn it alone a couple times and have gotten compliments on it. I'm really happy with it and wish it came in more colors!
