I recommend filling from the top hole and leaving the bottom hole open to help dry it out when finished. Overall it's been terrific.

Really strong flosser! There are multiple settings for flow type. You may want to reconsider if you have very sensitive gums. The irrigation is pretty strong. It does get all the stuff you thought you flossed away, out of your teeth, gums and mouth.
