I really liked this toy when I opened package--our dog liked as well! Until a short time ago when I saw her chewing on the green "stem"! The stem had come apart from the main cherries. This is a small enough part that I think she or any bigger dog could choke on. Our dog is a small lab. Would not recommend buying.

The rope is about 8 inches long overall, but only about 3 inches from the insides of one knot to the inside of the other knot. This is great for a puppy or small dog. We have had this one for about 3 months and it is holding up really well. It has survived the washing machine nicely. My puppy is a chihuahua mix and is currently 7 months old and about 10 pounds. She is probably an average chewer. Definitely not a dog that destroys a toy in a day.
