The holes you drill don’t have to be perfect because the net has elastics that you can tighten and also keep from hanging too low. The net is not visible when standing. I really like this product. My desk is just a regular table, so I wanted something to hide by bulky laptop and monitor adapters, and this does the job perfectly.
