I think this is the perfect weight. I am a “hot” sleeper and I slept comfortably all night. I was really surprised at the quality of this product at the price I paid. I did not wash it before use because I put a duvet cover on it but the quilted, baffled construction should stand up well to washing as shifting of the fill should be limited.
