The abbreviation "Kgl." stands for kniglich, which represents royal ownership; that dates this krug to 1918 or earlier since the monarchy was overthrown after WWI. After WWI, the company became state owned (staatlich) and "Staatl." replaced "Kgl." It is in good condition with some light wear and age. The zinc thumb part is shaped like Frauenkirche and is a little bent. NOTE

Don't Waste Your Money

This watch is a complete disappointment. Right out from the box, I adjusted the time per the instruction manual. After finshing adjusting the watch, I pushed the crown in (two clicks). The second hand started movement after almost 10 seconds. From then on, the second hand was stopping and going by itself. Within less than anhour, the watch was behind almost 25 seconds. It is a piece of junk. I would not advise anyone to buy this watch.
